flax for egg

we like to watch cooking shows and we like to experiment in the kitchen. we're by no means chefs as they say, but we like good food. i really should say, the hubs is more of the chef and i'm the one who eats the good food. recently in my search for healthy substitution options, i came across this goodie and had to share.

did you know flax seed can replace an egg in most recipes? came right in handy for this banana muffin recipe. i also substituted equal parts of honey for the sugar and because of this, decreased the temperature by 25 degrees.

flax--egg substitute//mix 1 tbsp flaxseed with 3 tbsp water in a bowl and let sit for 2 minutes. add to recipe. you can find flaxseed in the baking section of your regular grocery store or in any health store.
