A Walk in the Park // Shabby Apple + Callie Hobbs Photography

comment /// 1 comments

The idea of me being a fashion blogger is somewhat humorous, knowing that I can practice all the poses I want in the mirror but when in front of the camera those poses turn into awkward stances. However, dressing in a couple of pieces from Shabby Apple and spending the evening with Callie Hobbs Photography was the perfect combination to make me feel comfortable enough to be myself in front of that lens.

It makes all the difference to team up with brands you love doesn't it? Shabby Apple is a company I've watched over the years. Unique designs + quality product + superior customer service. Callie from Callie Hobbs Photography has built her portfolio in wedding + portrait photography and had me laughing throughout and excited over the beautiful shots she captured.

I love the versatility of the Papaya Perfection Dress. It fits my casual cute style and can easily be dressed up with a jacket for a night out or simply worn to the park with sandals for an afternoon play date. The Edgecliff Skirt gives a dressier look but I quickly suited it to my taste and paired it with a chambray for that going out but not too fancy look.

Not only do I appreciate the softness and quality of the fabrics used in Shabby Apple products, but I love that I don't have to worry about this or that showing. Their designs cover in the right places and make it easy for a girl to feel beautiful and comfortable.

It's always a good day when new favorite items join my closet and I'm so happy to have such beautiful images of a great night.

Thanks to Shabby Apple @shabbyapple and Callie Hobbs @calliehobbsphotography.

Sin in Salt City // Event Photos

Back in June, we co-hosted our first blogging event. The planning for the event stemmed from the fact that our co-host Jen from Annelily Design has access to an amazing space and that most Utah blogging events take place 30-45 minutes away from us. We wanted to introduce an event in our neck of the woods. We began with so many ideas involving charity and connecting and business collaboration but in the end we decided that really, people just want to get out, mingle, and have a good time. Insert, 20's themed murder mystery party.

Kiera Eve Photography & Becky Earl documented the night for us and Kiera is kindly sharing the photos over on her blog today. We're re-living the night and so grateful Kiera & Becky volunteered their time and talents, their style and eye couldn't have been a better match + we're enthralled with Kiera's write up, such cleverness!

And we must thank our sponsors once again//
Pak n Wrap who provided paper products for the night.
Sweet Tooth Fairy who provided their infamous cake bites.
The Crepe Co who provided their delicious crepes.
Brickyard Buffalo who provided amazing swag bags for giveaways throughout the night.

Pop of Color -- Magnus Anesund

I happened upon this first photo on design for mankind last night and after pinning the image and adding the detail to my mental to-do for house someday, proceeded to be amused by the other images of photographer Magnus Anesund.  I like the often pop of color in his work.
