mom's best hot product night

i was invited to attend the Mom's Best Hot Product event last night. it was an evening filled with stylish ladies [i knew exactly who was attending from the colored skinnies & polka dotted shirts in the elevator], great food, cool mostly new-to-me products, and a great cause. i was happy to not only mingle with old friends but also make new friends. there is nothing like being in a room with a bunch of people who are passionate about what they do and excited about what you do. the conversation of the night was mainly filled with the phrase "i follow you on instagram!!!" or "i feel like i know you" but there was no shame in admitting that we all blog/facebook/twitter/instagram stalk each other.

don't worry i took amazing pictures via the iphone ;o) lots of motion going on last night; the mad dash to the product table when your number was called was just one of them. i think i was called second to last, so it was slim pickings but i was happy to pick something for the little gal instead of debating over products for myself. i brought her home a dog folkmanis puppet. they became fast friends.

a photo booth was provided by clikd, a super cool new app that allows you to choose your event and in real time share any picture taken at the event. we didn't laugh and feel awkward the whole time at all....

i admired the generous shops who donated product and the effort to support the riverside rape crisis center. an opportunity to review and receive free stuff is always exciting, but the reality that not everyone gets such chances is humbling.

it was overall a lovely evening.
